I put this thing off for two weeks longer than anticipated, both because I knew what awaited and because I was fighting off a cold, and I was working on some fun things that are in store for Westminster Effects.
All that to say that this is the first of a 30-day writing challenge. This can be any kind of writing, really, but the goal is to get into a regular rhythm of churning out some amount of verbiage and forcing myself to write at least a little something on the reg. It doesn’t have to hit a thousand words or anything like that, just write. Some of these will be devotional, some of them may tend toward the Festivus airing of grievances, and others still may be something completely different. I have ideas.
I will also note that though this one was recorded and posted to the Westminster Effects Doxology Podcast feed, not all of them will be, so those of you who have subscribed more for Bradley and Lutheran Jon and don’t care for my ramblings don’t have much to fear.
As another aside that helps my word count, I have renamed the Substack feed, changing it from Every Square Inch to All Things New. The gist is the same, and I had forgotten about Glenn Sunshine’s ministry by the same name as my old one. No cease and desist letters were received, but he had dibs.
Lastly, you can blame Chocolate Knox and the bad influence of the Fight Laugh Feast crew for this. Knox started this thing a few weeks ago and started posting about it and talking about it on Chocolate Knox Unplugged, and I figured I’m far overdue for something akin to this. Any complaints should be directed his way.
